I am a writer.

So I’m reading a book by Joanna Penn about productivity in your writing, and something she mentions early on is self-description. Not just where you are but where you want to be. So, my title for this post is “I am a writer.”

I’m going to make writing a priority. It is something I have been interested in for most of my life, but haven’t given it the attention it needs. Lately I’ve been thinking about how I want the writer’s lifestyle of working wherever I want. Some of you may be thinking that’s not enough of a reason to try to go down that path and you might be right. But while I haven’t really written much, I am so drawn to it and enjoy creating with words. It just takes time that I haven’t allotted. So I’m actually going to give it a serious attempt and see how it goes.

Wish me luck and success!

Dreamer

I’ve been a dreamer my entire life

Why would you never ever dream of happy thoughts and exciting events. Places to go, things to learn and reach for.

If you never dream and never reach you will never grow and never go. Thus you will miss out on your very life’s happy times.

Hobby Hobgoblin

My fun, yet creepy, writing exercise result from the Arrow Rock writing workshop a couple of years ago:

Ole Hobby Hobgoblin slinking ’round the trees

Gangly, green, and gnarled

Whispering evil things

He searches out the innocent

Bids them come to me

Then tears them limb from limb you see

And feeds his family

Hello world!
